Senior Web App Developer – Ruby on Rails

Job Description

Currently, we are seeking a Senior Web Applications Developer with demonstrated programming experience and a strong work ethic to join our rapidly growing team.  We are looking for a programmer who takes pride in developing outstanding software and is constantly looking to improve the quality of his/her work.

Responsibilities

Contribute to new and existing client projects and enable ongoing product innovation. Responsibilities include: working as part of the Parallel6 Platform product development team across multiple client projects, owning portions of product enhancements as part of a broader product roadmap, mentoring other developers and contributing towards new technical innovations.  The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and self-motivated with a proven track record in delivering web technologies.  Beyond strong technical skills, we are looking for someone with strong conceptual and information architecture skills who is comfortable working in both paired programming assignments and as part of team.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer/developer using Ruby on Rails, Angular .JS, HTML5, CSS3. Javascript, jQuery, and SQL
  • Solid working knowledge of the Ruby language and the Rails framework is a must
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns and how they apply to Ruby
  • Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling for scalability and performance
  • Experience creating RESTful APIs for integration with mobile apps and web sites
  • Commitment to writing quality code through TDD – RSpec, Capybara, Phantom.JS
  • Proficiency with Git as a source code management tool
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

Position Summary

Support testing activities and develop, publish and implement test plans to ensure product quality. Write and maintain test automation, develop quality assurance standards and define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineering and customer success teams to provide testing support for agile software development sprints for multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Design traceability matrices, test plans and test scripts for mobile and platform software requirements
  • Manage and distribute assets and documentation from the software design team to engineering team

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Sr. Data Manager will work as a member of the product team to transform customer and Clinical6 product clinical data management requirements into clear, unambiguous requirements. The Sr. Data Manager will prioritize the product upgrade/enhancements backlog and serve as the data management expert for client project delivery and engineering.

  • Review and understand protocol synopsis and attend (if required) any protocol review meetings. Act as subject matter expert for proper data capture and reporting based on protocol requirements.
  • Work within a team of Product and Program Managers and User eXperience (UX) designers to gather requirements from customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development and user experience to determine the best way to present data via reports, dashboards or clinical workflows.
  • Develop or lead in the review of eCRFs and Data Management Plans when applicable, that outline database design and testing, CRF flow, data queries, manual checks, coding, third party vendor reconciliations, specification of data listings needed to facilitate data cleaning in accordance to a Data Review Plan, data lock and archiving, etc.
  • Develop and test edit specifications which may include the development of test scripts used for UAT as well as perform/coordinate UAT testing.
  • Assist in database upgrades/migrations including performing User Acceptance Tests.
  • Act as the point of contact on the Project delivery team, for data management related project updates with the client and for regular communication of Project updates.
  • Understand issues from the client perspective and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders (Project team, client study team, etc) as required.
  • Provide input into enhancements of the Clinical6 Data Management capabilities to the Product team.

Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in all aspects of Clinical Data Management.
  • Prior experience with a variety of EDC technology.
  • Data Manager in a pharmaceutical/CRO setting.
  • Expert knowledge of clinical trial and data management process.
  • Proficiency in regulatory guidelines, agencies, and GCP.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work in a team environment with medical personnel, clinical monitors, statisticians, programmers, and medical writers.

Responsibilities

The Implementation Consultants work with Program Managers and other departments during the implementation and configuration of the Clinical 6 Platform for clinical studies, in addition to helping in the training and ongoing program support. The IC will be the primary resource for authoring specification documents and used by different groups as well as configuring study design during the development of clinical studies.

  • Advise customers and internal staff on best practices for implementing the Clinical 6 Platform
  • Work with Program Managers in translation of customer needs in terms of system functionality to ensure a match between needs and actual system capabilities/limitations
  • Work directly with the client to prepare, adapt, or agree on all specifications provided by the customer
  • Ensure that Technical/Clinical Services functions are aligned and meet Project timelines and deliverables
  • Assist in the scheduling of resources and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Coordinate and support engineering during platform/solution implementations
  • Author specifications based upon client requirements, including functional test cases, for use in configuring and developing solutions as well as in custom integrations with other product
